UAV /Drone
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) or Drones as they commonly known as, offer a unique and distinct advantage to on the ground photography work. The field of view is unlike we all see most of the time, and this offers a greater sense of scale, location and perspective.
UAV / Drone photography is a valuable tool in the construction, industrial and architecture sectors. Either used solely or as an addition to conventional photography, valauable and stunning images can be captured of your projects, assets or team in the field. Great for project reporting, asset inspections and marketing imagery.
Whilst a valuable tool to have, there is a large amount of responsibility and regulations involved in operating safely for all involved, both people and assets. I hold a CASA accredited Remote Pilots Licence (RePL), AROC (Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate) and am currently undertaking training to obtain my ReOC (Operators Certificate) from CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority).
As with my construction photography, I am equipped to work in any environment (within safety limits of course). Some of credentials include:
White Card - Construction Induction
Work Safely at Heights
Safely Access the Rail Corridor (RISI or RIW card).
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) operation - under 11m
RePL - CASA accredited remote pilots licence for drone operations.
More often than not a site specific induction is required before entering each site for which I am very familiar with. One thing is for certain with all projects, safety is paramount.
